JAZAKALLAH KHAIR HOW TO THANK PEOPLE IN ISLAM ?
The correct way to thank someone is to say ...
[✔] JAZAKALLAH KHAIR
And it's wrong to say ..
[✘] ' JAZAKALLAH ' alone.
Because, "JazakAllah" can may either mean "may Allah reward you" or punish you, while "JazakAllah Khair" means ... "may Allah reward you with the Best / Good",
JAZAKALLAHU KHEIR DEPENDING ON SITUATION :
MASCULINE: JazakAllahu Khair
FEMININE : Jazakillah Khair(notice this is not the same as the masculine word)
PLURAL : Jazakumullahu Khair

HOW TO REPLY TO THOSE WHO SAYS JAZAKALLAHU KHAIR TO YOU ?
► Wa Antum fa Jazakumullahu khairan meaning [ And you too, May Allah reward you with Khayr ].
(Usayd ibn Hadayr (sahabi) says: I said: O Messenger of Allah جزاك الله خيرا [Jazaakallhu Khayran], The Prophet(pbuh) said: وَأَنْتُمْ فَجَزَاكُمُ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا [Wa Antum Fa Jazakumullahu khayran] And you too, May Allah reward to with Khayr].)
Shaykh al-Albaany has said that the Hadeeh is Saheeh.

JAZAKALLAHU KHAIRAN
This is a statement of thanks and appreciation to be said to a person who does a favour. Instead of saying 'shukran' (thanks), this phrase is used. It means 'May Allah reward you with good.
